Spa for soldiers

Know any women in the military, or women who are married to someone that is? Calgary entrepreneur Julie Gies wants to offer them a break this month.

The Diva Winter Festival will take place this Saturday and Sunday at the Radisson Hotel (1220 16th Ave. N.E.).

According to the press release, the festival promises to give women "a chance to get inspired, de-stress, be pampered and develop a network of women that will help support them."

It will include four free spa treatments from BeautiControl, Nuskin and Charismatic Carolyn, as well as opportunities for Christmas shopping and four guest speakers: Jo-Ann Vacing (EWomen Network), Garth Roberts (The Opus Movie), Elizabeth George (The Prefix Solution Inc.) and Susan Costello (Global TV).

The event is free for women in the Canadian military, or women who are married to someone that's in the military.

All other women can register for $35 per day or $60 for both days. For more information or to sign up, call 403-247-6557 or go to SoulsEnhanced.com.
